The following students have earned the distinction of Dean's List at the Georgia Institute of Technology for Spring 2016.

Clemson University has announced the Dean's List for the spring 2016 semester.

Georgia Southern University recently recognized 1,340 students for excellence in academics on the Spring 2016 President's List. To be eligible for the President's List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Georgia Southern University recently recognized nearly 2,600 students for excellence in academics on the 2016 Spring Semester Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Ohio Wesleyan University held its 172nd commencement ceremony on May 8, 2016. The OWU Class of 2016 included 390 spring, summer, and fall graduates, with 65 cum laude, 43 magna cum laude, and 20 summa cum laude honorees. Samford University releases dean's lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

Over 3,000 students earn Dean's List honor

JMU is pleased to announce that the following students made the dean's list at James Madison University for the spring 2016 semester.

The following local residents made the Spring 2016 Dean's List at Georgia Southwestern State University and were among over 540 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

The following area residents were among approximately 250 students who graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University during the Spring 2016 Commencement Ceremony held on Friday, May 6 in Convocation Hall of the Student Success Center.

The Georgia Southern University Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art presents "B.F.A. Senior Exhibition" May 2 - 6 in the University and Contemporary Galleries at the Center for Art & Theatre.This exhibition features work from senior 2D and 3D studio art majors, enrolled in the BFA Portfolio course taught by Gallery Director Jason Hoelscher, and pursuing their bachelor of arts degrees.

The following local students completed courses with exemplary marks and made the Dean's List for the 2016 spring semester at Georgia College in Milledgeville, Ga.

More than 120 undergraduate students presented their research at the Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference (GSURC) on Wednesday, April 13. Students from a wide variety of disciplines shared their findings through oral presentations, posters, artistic displays and performances.

Three College of Business students representing the GATA Sales Team traveled to New Orleans during spring break, March 17-20, to compete at the American Marketing Association's 38th Annual International Collegiate Conference. Chareva Myles competed in the AMA Perfect Pitch competition sponsored by AeroTek, while Taylor Porter and Jakeia Kitchens competed in the ABC Supply Co. International Sales Competition.

The 1913 Society - a student ambassador program established by the Office of the President - provides an opportunity for outstanding undergraduate students to serve as official hosts and goodwill ambassadors for the university.

The Honors College Ambassadors corps is composed of a diverse and dedicated group of outstanding Honors College students who desire to hone their leadership skills, while also contributing to the Honors College legacy. These student leaders serve as representatives of the Honors College at a variety of internal and external events.

The following local residents made the Summer 2015 Dean's List at Georgia Southwestern State University and were among 374 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

Georgia Southern University recently recognized 1,194 students for excellence in academics on the 2015 Spring Semester President's List. To be eligible for the President's List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

The university's spring commencement ceremonies were held May 1-3 on UNG's Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses. This spring semester, UNG conferred some 1,300 degrees. Additionally, 36 graduating members of the Corps of Cadets took oaths as second lieutenants in the National Guard or U.S. Army.

Dr. Bonita C. Jacobs, president of the University of North Georgia (UNG), recognized more than 1,000 students for their academic performance during spring semester 2015 by naming them to the President's List and President's Honor Roll.

The Student Government Association (SGA) is the official voice for the student population at Georgia State University. These students have been elected by their peers and strive to maintain and improve the student experience through policy.
