Students have been named to the University of Delaware Dean's List for the Spring 2018 semester.

A record 1,240 degrees were awarded. That tops the 2017 record of 1,165. An estimated 250 students graduated with honors. In the seven commencement ceremonies, 33 different degree programs were recognized, including the first graduates in the Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Athletic Training, Master of Science in Respiratory Care, Master of Science in Health Informatics and Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration programs in the College of Health Sciences. Graduating students represented 28 states and seven other countries: United Kingdom, Malaysia, China, France, South Korea, Canada and Germany.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

At the 186th Commencement ceremony on May 27, Wesleyan University awarded 745 bachelor of art degrees, 41 master of art degrees, 21 master of art in liberal studies degrees, and 20 doctor of philosophy degrees.

More than 3,000 students earned academic honors

University of North Georgia (UNG) President Bonita C. Jacobs recognized more than 1,300 students who achieved a 4.0 GPA during the spring 2018 semester. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor's degree programs who achieved a 4.0 grade point average were named to the President's Honor Roll. Students enrolled in associate degree programs who met the same level of achievement were named to the President's List.

The deans of each of UNG's five colleges - the College of Arts & Letters, the College of Education, the College of Health Sciences & Professions, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the College of Science & Mathematics - announced the names of those students who made their respective lists for spring 2018. Samford University releases dean's lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Spring 2018 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

The Honors College Ambassadors corps is composed of a diverse and dedicated group of outstanding Honors College students who desire to hone their leadership skills, while also contributing to the Honors College legacy. These student leaders serve as representatives of the Honors College at a variety of internal and external events.

Kennesaw State University is being represented by nearly 100 students this week at the 2018 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in Edmond, Oklahoma. More than 4,000 students from 400 colleges and universities are presenting their research April 4-7 at the prestigious annual conference. With 93 students attending, Kennesaw State's number of participants is second only to the host institution, the University of Central Oklahoma.

Each year, the Georgia State University Honors College awards a variety of scholarships to current students. This year, the Honors College awarded scholarships to nineteen exemplary students.

Georgia Southern University special education majors Kylie Brady and Rebecca Hinrichs are passionate about helping students with disabilities, as well as the studied benefits of appropriate classroom management. Their passions led to a presentation at Harvard University's annual National Collegiate Research Conference, the largest student-run research conference in the country, in January.

A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.
